Una Muchacha

There's nothing like a sale to restore a little confidence, and after the Cuenca painting went I decided to return to the dreaded market scene. It's a fairly large canvas (36"x36") and it's taking a lot of time and work, but so far so good. I still get the odd twinge of self-doubt, but nothing a stiff whisky (or three) can't sort out.

It will be a little time yet before I post the finished article, but here's a nice detail to keep you amused 'till then. The head is roughly the size of a fifty-pence piece.
