El Gordito

El Gordito (the little fat man) is a small, 8"x10", sketch of a pre-columbian idol replica that I picked up on my first trip to Santiago, Chile.

Work is continuing on a large portrait that I began last year. It has been giving me quite a lot of trouble, but I am making slow progress. It has the potential to be one of my best paintings, and I hope to post it on this blog before too long.
